About a month ago, 10-year-old drummer prodigy Nandi Bushell challenged Dave Grohl to a drum battle, playing his band's song 'Everlong' - to which the Foo Fighters star replied.
The battle continued when Grohl issued his own challenged to Bushell, asking her to match him in playing the drum part from Them Crooked Vultures' 'Dead End Friends', which she did without missing a beat.
Grohl admitted defeat, but wasn't done with the battle.
Monika Barton from Newshub reports:
For round two of the drum-off, Grohl surprised his opponent with a special song written "off the top of his head" about Bushell, performed with the help of his daughters, whom he calls 'The Grohlettes'.
A reaction video uploaded to Bushell's YouTube page shows the young rocker gobsmacked as she watches Grohl's offering, which dubs her the "best drummer in the world" and features lyrics such as "she's got the power, she's got the scream, everyone knows Nandi's the queen".
"I can't believe Mr Grohl wrote a song about me!?! This is so so so #EPIC!!" Bushell tweeted.
"I think its the best song EVER, in the WORLD, EVER!!! Thank you so much Dave. You have raised the stakes to all instruments! I accept your next challenge! Thank you to the whole Grohl family!"
