Demi Lovato has reunited with ex-boyfriend Joe Jonas and his brothers for a surprise throwback to their Disney Channel 'Camp Rock' days.
These movies shaped my life, and I’m fairly certain I hold the record for most times watched (currently sitting at a whopping 65).
Performing on their 20th anniversary tour, the Jonas Brothers had a surprise for their fans, bringing out Demi Lovato for a trip down memory lane.
They all rose to fame in 'Camp Rock' and its sequel 'Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam', where Demi and Joe once played on-screen love interests Mitchie Torres and Shane Gray, before going on to date in real life in 2010.
Fans went wild when the pair teamed up again to sing 'This Is Me' and 'Wouldn’t Change a Thing'. Afterwards, Joe remarked they hadn’t performed the song in “nearly a decade,” while Demi suggested it had probably been "even longer".
Demi later shared a video of the duet on Instagram, writing: “Thanks for having me @jonasbrothers.”
One fan summed up the feeling for us all: "THE WORLD IS HEALING ❤️ DISNEY CHANNEL CINEMATIC UNIVERSE IS BACK 🔥."
Earlier that day, she and Joe teased the reunion by lip-syncing 'Wouldn’t Change a Thing' while strolling through MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, the Jonas Brothers’ hometown.
Demi also posted a playful clip of the two mouthing a quote from fellow Disney alum Debby Ryan about “making history,” captioning it, “For the history books @joejonas.”
Her husband, musician Jordan Lutes (aka Jutes), chimed in with clapping and laughing emojis, later posting footage of Demi walking on stage with the caption: “Couldn’t be more proud… I love u sooo much, baby.”
And you think they were done? Think again. The boys also surprised everyone by bringing out another 2000s champion, Jesse McCartney, performing his hit song “Beautiful Soul”.
If you need me, I’ll be deeply submerged in this fantastic wave of nostalgia, so nobody disturb me for the next few days.
