'Don't have a music bone in me': Ex-All Black Israel Dagg selling DJ set up

The decks have a long line of rugby history attached to them

Rugby legend Izzy Dagg has admitted defeat when it comes to a career in music, sharing on Instagram that he's selling his turntables.

Posting a picture of his decks and mixer with a price of $2.5k, he wrote: "Finally realised I don’t have a music bone in me lol.”

Prospective buyers will be keen to know that the turntables actually have a long line of legendary rugby names attached. Speaking to Lee and Tammy on George FM Breakfast, Izzy revealed the decks were previously owned by Dan Carter.

"If these decks could talk, they’d probably sink some ships," he said.

On how Dan ended up selling the decks to Izzy, he explained: “[Dan] saw this young kid who saw the bright lights of Netsky, Shapeshifter, etc, and said, 'I’ll just coerce this young kid into buying my decks'.”
