Cassie Henderson has shared her emotional response to NZ's kind words following her incredible 'The Voice AU' audition.
The Christchurch local flew across the ditch to blow Australia and the four celebrity judges away with her rendition of Chappell Roan’s 'Good Luck, Babe!'.
All four judges - Ronan Keating, Kate Miller-Heidke, Richard Marx and Melanie C - were so impressed they each gave their best pitch for her to join their team, but in the end, it was Spice Girl Mel C who Cassie chose as her mentor.
“A really crazy 48 hours have just happened,” Cassie wrote just days after her audition aired in Australia. “Our coaches this year are total legends and absolute masters of the craft, so to stand up there and do what I love in front of them really was a dream (A FRICKEN SPICE GIRL????).”
“Thank u for the kind words and coming along for the ride, I am grateful beyond measure, right down to the pit of my soul 💙💙.”
In her carousel post, Cassie shared a video clip from the airport after her flawless performance, writing alongside it: “Serendipity, babe.”

The following image showed the 'Seconds To Midnight' singer sobbing in bed after reading sweet comments. This particular moment, Cassie says, was from seeing a message that read: “Fly Kiwi, fly.”

In another behind-the-scenes moment, Cassie answered a fan question about her favourite experience on 'The Voice AU' so far.
“Honestly, the coolest thing I’ve ever done,” she began. “Met and got to hang with some insanely talented people, the crew were all so friendly and welcoming.”
She also shared that her dad got to fist bump Sporty Spice – which is just so wholesome!!
“Can’t really fault anything,” she added.
Sounds like an awesome journey so far, and one we are soooo ready to see go far in the competition.
For now, the show isn’t on any streaming platforms in New Zealand, so we’ll be keeping up with the latest on Cassie’s socials and cheering her on from afar.
