WATCH: Bloke’s insane Metallica ‘One’ cover with just a recorder

“I would pay to see a full concert of this.”

Just when I thought I’d see it all in the Rockverse, I stumbled across Instagram user ‘Phillipflute2368’.

Felipe, who’s racked up 194k on Instagram and a whopping 259k TikTok followers, pumps out famous songs on his recorder, and they’re out the gate.

He took on the challenge of Metallica’s ‘One’, and not just any section of the song, the ‘machine gun’ part, with double kick drum work from Lars Ulrich, and insane guitar riffs and solos from James Hetfield and Kirk Hammett.

I have nothing else to say, just watch:

People in the comments ran to give Felipe the admiration he deserves.

“I ain’t ever heard a recorder go so hard in my life,” said one commenter.

“Lars is struggling to stay on beat while this man just shredded a literal flute,” said another.

One fan put it more simply: “Wtf, this is fucking amazing.”

My personal favourite was: “I’m not gonna lie, I would pay to see a full concert of this.”

His talent knows no limits - he busted out Queen’s ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’, too.

Someone asked what we’re ALL thinking: “How do you make a recorder sound this good?”

Others said that they “should have played that for [their] 4th grade recital” and that this was “absolute cinema”.

Another impressive cover was Survivor’s ‘Eye of the Tiger’.

Naturally, I did a deep dive after discovering our dear mate Felipe - he’s been pumping out recorder covers for over 15 years on YouTube

His first video got 500 odd views, and his second had an immediate rise to 8k. His most viewed video is now sitting at 193k views.

Nothing that a bit of dedication and hard work can’t get you, eh?!?

Absolute weapon, Felipe! Might vote for him in my Rock 2000 votes this year….
