If you're looking for a new challenge behind the decks, or just love a bit of space knowledge, then this clip NASA posted should pique your interest.
The NASA Exoplanets Twitter account posted a clip of the sound a black hole makes and it's pretty sick but also straight up fucking terrifying.
Tell us that isn't some nightmare fuel. It sounds a lot like the Nether in Minecraft which could mean our universe is somehow connected to the Minecraft universe but that's for another story.
What we do wanna talk about, is the fact that the black hole sound has some serious potential to be used in a track or mix. It could definitely be used as a more subtle sound in the background while you're on the decks.
Not to mention the fact that you'd literally be taking space noises and remixing them would be fucking unreal. The future really is now.
The black hole in the above clip comes from the centre of the 'Perseus' galaxy cluster. In an article from May about old mate Perseus and the noises he makes, NASA said that the idea that there is no sound in space is actually bs.
"The popular misconception that there is no sound in space originates with the fact that most of space is essentially a vacuum, providing no medium for sound waves to propagate through," they said scientifically.
"A galaxy cluster, on the other hand, has copious amounts of gas that envelop the hundreds or even thousands of galaxies within it, providing a medium for the sound waves to travel."
So basically, that scary noise above is galaxy gas. We've heard some pretty crazy gas in our time, but none of those got almost 400k likes on Twitter.
If you genuinely wanna use that audio clip in a mix of yours, we'd love to bloody hear it.
