By now, you've probably seen the viral TikTok about Tomorrowland coming to Melbourne in 2026.
The announcement was spotted on an easy-to-miss world map at this year's festival, which quietly highlighting Australia and Los Angeles as upcoming Tomorrowland destinations.
The video has already gained 2.5M views and, understandably, has festival-goers talking.
While all the specific details are yet to be revealed, what we do know is it's set to happen in November next year - and it won’t be the full Tomorrowland experience, but a spinoff of the festival, known as CORE.
What is Tomorrowland CORE?
CORE is known for its immersive, jungle-themed stage design, showcasing underground house and techno music. It’s seen artists like Disclosure, The Blessed Madonna and KETTAMA grace the stage in previous iterations.
Has Tomorrowland in Melbourne been officially announced?
A Tomorrowland spokesperson told Rolling Stone: “We are looking into a CORE event in Australia,” but organisers haven’t confirmed any further details.
In recent years, Aussie has seen local editions of Ultra Music Festival, most recently in both Melbourne and the Gold Coast. So, surely, Tomorrowland could follow suit and do the same.
How much could ticket prices be?
Looking at the main Tomorrowland festival in Belgium, ticket prices vary from anywhere between €143 and €5680 which would be between $277-$11k NZD. With it being a smaller scale version of the festival, we’d expect this to be a little more affordable!
The news comes off the back of another successful Tomorrowland, despite a fire destroying the festival's main stage just hours before opening day.
In an unreal turn of events, the festival was saved by heavy metal band Metallica, who airlifted stage parts from their world tour stored in Austria.
