Lewis Capaldi proves yet again why he's one of our favourites to talk to.
Capaldi released his 'Wish You The Best' youtube video and instantly had everyone crying their eyes out on TikTok after watching it. Well, I say everyone except for Dan and Clint:
Ahead of his NZ Tour, the singer chatted with The Edge Breakfast where the team showed him Meg ugly-crying throughout the whole music video.
Capaldi reached for his phone saying "Sorry, it's my accountant, I've just made another $100".
"I'm telling ya, make them cry, baby!"
Lewis talked about the reaction from all his fans towards the video saying "This is the biggest reaction to a music video I've ever had and this after we've done meetings where people have been like 'yeah, music videos are dead, it doesn't really work anymore' so listen, music videos baby, a thing of the future!".
Meg asked Lewis if he is a bit hurt that his biggest music video is the one that doesn't actually have him featured in it. "Yeah it does a little, I won't lie to ya" he replied. "But listen, I feel like it'd take away from the story, people know what I look like."
Lewis then poked fun at one of our other favs, Harry Styles, saying "I'm not an actor, you're never going to see me in a 'Don't Worry Darlin' or anything like that, I'm just meant to sing silly little songs.
Initially, the *Spoiler alert* dog wasn't meant to die in the video with Lewis joking he changed the storyline "I was just like, 'let's just kill all these Bs' because it's important that people are tearing up".
One person who wasn't tearing up however was Dan who hasn't cried in 10 years, something which Lewis was not having a bar of.
"Well F*** you Dan, I'm bringing it back... how dare you not cry!" he joked. "Hey as long as it made you sad, it makes children cry.
"I always wanted to go viral," said Lewis. "I never thought I would do it by traumatizing children but if that's the way things have to go then so be it. Every time a child cries, I earn another pound."
