Jessie J has revealed some incredible news in her ongoing cancer battle.
Taking to Instagram to update fans following her recent mastectomy, Jessie shared a sweet video of her 2-year-old son Sky telling her: “Mummy is going to be OK.”
In the caption, Jessie confirmed: “And … I AM OK. Results = I have NO cancer spread. Happy tears are real.”
“Thank YOU for the prayers, the love, the well wishes, the joy and all the positive energy,” she added.
Jessie explained the video of Sky was taken the night before her surgery, calling her son her “biggest ray of light.”
This video is from the night before my surgery. We called it baby boy… with you in my life, the darkness will never win.
“Lots of healing to go and one more surgery to make these cousins look more like sisters. But for now, it’s gratitude time, and I am changing my name to The LopJess monster.”
Jessie first went public with her breast cancer diagnosis last month, telling fans she’d been going back and forth about sharing it, but ultimately wanted to be open about her journey.
“I also know how much sharing in the past has helped me with other people giving me their love and support, and also their own stories. I'm an open book,” she said at the time.
In a follow-up after her initial surgery, Jessie was very transparent about the pros and cons of her journey, while keeping her usual humorous tone and positive vibes.
“Still hugging everyone going through something tough right now. We all got this! 🫂🫀🔋,” she added.
We’re sending all the love to Jessie as she continues to recover.
