Woman welcomes her 100th great-grandchild

Congratulations to the great-grandma who will also be celebrating her 100th birthday very soon!

What an incredible news for this big family from Pennsylvania!

Marguerite 'Peg' Koller, 99, recently met her 100th great-grandchild. It was said that she was 'absolutely ecstatic' to meet the youngest and the newest member of the family.

The youngest Koller member had quite a competition for the 100th spot according to mother Christine Stokes Blaster, granddaughter of Marguerite. Just a week before, his older cousin was born, making his cousin the 99th grandchild, and him the 100th.

"It was a race to 100. My cousin Colleen and I were just a day apart our due dates, and she had the 99th great-grandchild, who is absolutely healthy and beautiful" Christine said.

Another exciting thing that's happening this year for the Koller family is that Marguerite will be celebrating her 100th birthday in November.

The 99-year-old revealed to Metro that she had been ready to become a nun when she was younger. This means this huge family would have never happened if she had become one.

Her late husband William was the one who "talked her out of it" as they fell in love.

People who are the only child in their family know that they want a bigger family later in life. Being an only child herself, Marguerite wanted to have a big family. Her wish did come true as she now has 11 children together, who then had 56 grandchildren, and then brought 100 great-grandchildren into the family.

When it comes to family gatherings, according to the newborn's mum Christine, it is rather 'impossible' to get everyone together in the same place. And that brings no surprise to us. But what's really interesting is how they do their gatherings.

When it comes to family events, they do it in 'heats' so everyone gets some chance to spend a little bit of time with each other.
