Did we discover New Zealand's shortest ever marriage?

We can't believe this happened in NZ!

One couple in the Middle East (Kuwaiti) called off their marriage just three minutes after saying 'I do'.

The ceremony unraveled when the groom mocked his bride after she stumbled on the mat, causing the marriage to come to an end in record time.

The Breakfast Club with Lana, Adam & Paul wanted to find the shortest marriage in New Zealand and it's fair to say, they were shocked by what people confessed.

Listener Ryan spoke about his ex-mother-in-law who married and filed for divorce on the same day!

"She got married in the morning, and then on the same day she found out her partner cheated, and on that same night they got divorced."

Adding to the intense situation, Ryan explained his ex-mother-in-law found out about the situation from someone else.

In another situation, Naze witnessed a failed wedding as a guest's plus one, telling the Breakfast Club about a couple who didn't even make it to signing the papers.

"The groom was about to say 'I Do' and he didn't. He just gave her a long look and walked off."

Naze described the room as completely silent, saying 'no one could believe what they were seeing.'

"The bride ended up sinking to her knees in despair presumably."

Many stories circulated around why the groom walked out, but one rumour seemed to hold the strongest. "I don't think it was a very healthy relationship to begin with, but it was basically about the paternity of the child."

Naze jokingly told The Breakfast Club "I feel very privileged to have experienced it."
