The success continues: 'Running Up That Hill' earns Kate Bush 3 Guinness World Records

I don't think Kate will be coming down that hill anytime soon!

Kate Bush's 'Running Up That Hill' has not only been a viral, global chart-topping success earning her some serious cash, but the 80's tune has now gone and broken 3 'Guinness World records'.

37 years after its initial release, the tune has made it back on the charts, all thanks to the latest season of our favourite Netflix show 'Stranger Things'.

This iconic 80's hit has now broken three Guinness World records:

The longest time for a track to reach no.1 on the UK's Official Singles Chart: According to Guinness World Records, the song took 36 years and 310 days to reach the number 1 spot on the UK's 'Official Singles Chart'.

The oldest female artist to reach No.1 on the UK's Official Singles Chart: Kate was 63 years, 328 days old when the single soared to number 1.

Longest gap between no.1s on the UK's Official Singles Chart: It took 44 years and 83 days for Kate to make her return to number 1.

Her debut single 'Wuthering Heights' hit the mark in 1978. Now, 'Running Up That Hill' has reached the top in 2022.

'Running Up That Hill' was first released in 1985 as the lead single on her fifth studio album 'Hounds of Love'.

After the recent resurgence of the song, Kate Bush shared that having the song featured on 'Stranger things', the track has been given a "whole new lease of life".
