Watch the first trailer for Bruce Springsteen biopic ‘Deliver Me From Nowhere’

Jeremy Allen White transforms into The Boss in the first trailer for Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere.

The first-look trailer for the upcoming Bruce Springsteen biopic, Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere, has just recently dropped.

The upcoming movie is set to explore Bruce Springsteen’s pivotal journey during the making of his 1982 album Nebraska - a stark, introspective record that marked a departure from the hopeful tone of his earlier work.

Written and directed by Scott Cooper, the film is inspired by Warren Zanes’ book of the same name - and the two-and-a-half minute trailer gives a window into the film and line-up of actors.

The Bear actor Jeremy Allen White stars as The Boss, while Succession star Jeremy Strong plays his long-time manager Jon Landau, and Liverpool legend Stephen Graham stars as Springsteen’s late father Douglas Frederick ‘Dutch’ Springsteen.

The trailer shows glimpses of White, who has won three Emmys for his lead performance in The Bear, playing the harmonica and belting Nebraska’s title track, as well as Springsteen’s iconic 1975 tune Born to Run.

“From 20th Century Studios, Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere chronicles the making of Bruce Springsteen’s 1982 “Nebraska” album when he was a young musician on the cusp of global superstardom, struggling to reconcile the pressures of success with the ghosts of his past,” says an official description.

“Recorded on a 4-track recorder in Springsteen’s New Jersey bedroom, the album marked a pivotal time in his life and is considered one of his most enduring works—a raw, haunted acoustic record populated by lost souls searching for a reason to believe.”

To portray Springsteen, White immersed himself in hundreds of archived footage to master the singer’s New Jersey rasp and energetic stage presence.

The Boss himself, who has spent a considerable amount of time on set, has praised White’s portrayal of him, saying he’s a “terrific actor” who “sings very well.”

"He's got an interpretation of me that I think the fans will deeply recognize and he's just done a great job, so I've had a lot of fun," he said.

We’re keen to watch this one when it drops in cinemas later this year (2025) on October 24th.
