A crowd-surfing moment has gone viral again for going hilariously wrong.
The Streets' rapper and singer Mike Skinner lost his cool - and his shoe - during a 2023 gig when a fan in the crowd got a little too keen.
In a video captured by another concertgoer, Skinner is being held above the mosh pit by excited fans when one woman grabs hold of his shoe and refuses to let go.
“Gimme that shoe back now…GIVE IT TO ME LADY,” he shouts through the mic, then throws his full effort into trying to pry it from her grip.
To be fair, she put up one hell of a fight for what might be the world’s smallest game of tug of war.
The funniest part of the whole thing is watching the rest of the crowd holding Skinner steady mid-air while he wrestles for his footwear.
And it's all going down with their hit 'Blinded by the Lights' playing a perfectly suspenseful backing track.
After managing to secure the shoe back in his hands, Skinner had to sacrifice his sock and return to the stage with one bare foot.
Considering he’s since began to crowd surf barefoot, i'd say it's lesson learned!!
The resurfaced clip, shared by Instagrammer @beardedgenius, has now racked up over half a million views and hundreds of comments from people loving the chaos.
“She's strong 😂 I give her that,” said one person.
“I thought the saddest mosh pit was when no one catches you, I was wrong 🤣👟.”
Someone else called it a “Modern Day Renaissance Painting” - and now I can’t unsee it.
Honestly, the more you watch it, the more you notice.
“Shoe lady getting dragged by her trousers into a wedgy to release the shoe is DIABOLICAL behaviour 😂,” one commenter wrote. It took a good three watches for me to notice that one.
“On second viewing, all I could see was the glasses wearer’s plight,” said another.
Despite how unhinged it all is, this might still be one of the funniest videos on the internet. It's almost hypnotic how many times you can watch it.
