'Sonic The Hedgehog 2' has shown itself as a must-see movie for 2022. The film has beaten 'Morbius' and 'Ambulance' with a stellar opening weekend and now it's broken a box office record!
According to Variety, the sequel to the 2020 film based on the SEGA game outsold 'Morbius' and 'Ambulance', grossing over $71 million in its opening weekend making it the highest-grossing debut for a video game adaptation.
That's significantly more than the original, which earned $58 million in comparison.
