Kiwi DJ Andy Heartthrob diagnosed with an aggressive stage 4 cancer - here's how you can help

Donations will go towards treatment, therapies and support for her 5-month-old daughter Ruuru.

Andrea Orani, affectionately known as Andyheartthrob, a Kiwi DJ, mum and hugely positive influence in the NZ electronic music scene, has sadly been diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic bowel cancer.

Her oncologist has said she may not live more than two weeks. She requires loads of treatment and has set up a Givealittle page which we would like to share here.

If you are able to, please donate. The money will go towards her cancer treatment (which costs $263,000), alternative cancer therapies and supporting her 5-month-old daughter Ruuru.

Every little bit helps, so please share the Givealittle page around to whanau and friends.

Andy is staying strong and shared some words on the donation page.

"This news is shocking for me and everyone I love," she said. "I want you all to know that I'm keeping positive and a good way to help is by sending your positive energy and love."

"I've decided to document my healing journey via Instagram (@andyheartthrob), so everyone can be on it with me, so I'm not alone. I have many reasons to live for especially my baby daughter. Ruuru."

"The journey will be demanding with serious challenges for everyone, but we will succeed together. You might suggest a book, a healthy recipe, therapy, a verse or a story, everything will help."

"Thanks to everyone for your koha".

We are sending all our love to Andy and her whanau.
