The Warriors might’ve just secured another diehard after giving a young fan an ultimate post-match experience.
Posting the wholesome vid to Insta, the team shared: “Two weeks ago, we met a young Aussie fan named Phoenix at the airport. A rugby league fanatic, he mentioned he lived near Manly, so we invited him to come watch the game.
"He later ran back and asked if he could be a ball boy Of course, we said yes.”
Phoenix showed up to the New South Wales Cup game with his mum, smashed his ball boy duties, and even got the invite to join the team for the post-match song.
"The boys made sure he felt part of the squad," the post continued.
The video shows Phoenix legging it into the sheds while the boys cheer him on - the vibes were absolutely ON!
He’s handed a boot and immediately understands his assignment - whacking those sprigs against a plastic chair to create the beat that gets any Warrior or Wahs fan fizzing.
Keeping the beat, the whole room launches into the iconic ‘We Are the Warriors’ anthem. There’s yelling, splashing, and all the hype needed to make it a special moment.
A few scruffs of the head and dapping up the fellas afterwards had Phoenix walking out of the room a certified legend.
A special moment for a young fan and for us too. 💙❤️💚
Fans are loving how the team made it a moment to never forget from the second Phoenix walked in the room.
One person wrote: “He’s gonna remember that forever, boys!”
“Culture 🫡🫡,” said another.
A third added: “Little man would have been stoked!”
Pretty safe to say the Wahs just scored themselves a lifelong supporter with this one.
