The fifth and final season of Stranger Things is in the works, but it may not mean the end for the residents of Hawkins. Netflix has just announced an animated version of their most popular series.
Most of the info about this new show is still under wraps, but there's just enough to let our imagination run wild like a demogorgon in the upside down.
The Duffer brothers, creators of Stranger Things, shared a statement about the new series coming to Netflix:
"We've always dreamed of an animated Stranger Things in the vein of the Saturday morning cartoons that we grew up loving, and to see this dream realised has been absolutely thrilling."
Dusty Saturdays spent watching an animated version of Steve Harrington sounds pretty good to me.
"We couldn't be more blown away by what Eric Robles and his team have come up with - the scripts and artwork are incredible, and we can't wait to share more with you! The adventure continues ."

A release date is yet to be announced for the new series, along with its name. Netflix really has left us with nothing but crumbs, but at least there's something to look forward to in the world of Stranger Things once the OG series comes to an end.
Maybe the demogorgons will be a little less frightening in an animated version?
