T-Money had a big and a special moment on the show two weeks ago!
After celebrating Matariki with the whanau in Ngati Whatua Orakei, he was inspired to learn more about Te Ao Maori.
Although he's already a part of the whanau, we had to make sure he knew his Maori Strum AKA 'The jingachhak' for when he gets the invite to the next Shed Party!
Like Storme said, :
"Without this, you would have to sit and just wait for your turn".
Troy did mention how this was very "intidimating" to him due to Maori strumming being very particular - it's something that he had never done before.
And then, he performed 'Pa Mai' along with Mai Morning Crew backing him up throughout.
When we say T-Putea didn't disappoint, we aren't lying!
The strumming was incredible, and he sang and lead the waiata effortlessly.
The proud faces on the Mai Morning Crew shows it all.
