While some of us are still gassing up our shitty cars in $5 instalments, the Elon Musks of the world are getting richer by the second - and it looks like the SpaceX founder is now set to become a trillionaire.
Not just any trillionaire, the world's first trillionaire.
We didn't even know how to fathom that much cash, so we Googled it (this might be why we're not rich) and just to be clear, that's the equivalent of 1000 billion or 1 million millions.
Brain hurting yet?
Anyway, a new study reckons Musk is on track to hit a net worth of US$1.38 trillion in just two short years, when he'll be the ripe old age of 52.
Approve.com analysed the 30 richest people in the world according to Forbes and calculated their annual average rate of financial growth using data tracking back to 2017.
The study then predicted what the next 30 years would look like for each person, and figured out who would win the race to trillionaire first, and at what age.
Interestingly, old mate Jeff Bezos, founder of Amazon, comes in seventh place and will likely have to wait till 2030 to become a trillionaire at the age of 65.
That means not only will Musk have become a trillionaire six years earlier, he may well have already taken humans to Mars, if his latest prediction is anything to go by.

Asked by a Twitter user to guess when SpaceX would first manage to get people on the Red Planet, Musk said simply "2029". Thankfully, we think Bezos probably has enough $100 bills to wipe his tears on.
