Over 1000 delegates are in Christchurch at the Asian Seed Conference, which runs from the 20th to the 24th of November.

Dr Manish Patel, President of the Asia & Pacific Seed Alliance, said that the Asian Seed Congress is more than just a meeting of members. There are technical sessions, education tours and world-class entertainment.

"Delegates can network, grow their business and get updated on the latest industry developments and technologies, so as to gain an edge in the most populous and lucrative region in the world," he said.

Representatives are from all around the world including India, China, Turkey, Australia, Thailand and Japan. These people are key to the movement of quality seed across international borders, he said.
