Yungblud has kicked off his 2026 IDOLS tour with a massive, tear-filled opening night at Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena.

It was a big night for the star, marking his first show of the year, but the energy shifted completely when he stopped the set to pay tribute to his "dear friend in the sky," the legendary Ozzy Osbourne.

Following the Prince of Darkness’s passing in July last year, Yungblud has vowed to perform the Black Sabbath classic 'Changes' every single night of the tour.

"I feel so f*cking emotional," he told the screaming Sydney crowd. "I’ve been playing gigs in Australia since I was 15 years old. And you mfers were the first country to believe in us, and I will f*cking never forget that".

Yungblud stood silently under the spotlight for a second, soaking up the atmosphere, and no doubt choking back some tears.

"This is rock and roll, and rock and roll is about love," he shouted. "You motherf*ckers are about love, Ozzy Osbourne was about f*cking love. Yungblud is about love".

He encouraged everyone in the room to turn to the person next to them and say “I love you”, turning the arena into a mega group chat for the night.

That’s when he ripped into an emotional rendition of the tune, with the Aussies screaming along with him.

As the instrumental notes rang out, the emotion was written all over his face. Tears in his eyes, he patted his chest and blew a kiss to the sky in a final nod to the rock icon.

The comments on the video were just as emotional as Yungblud was.

“This was incredible! He is incredible. The whole concert was perfection. So greatful to have been there to see him live! 🖤” said one fan.

“WHO CUT THE ONIONS IN HERE?? LOL!!  THANK YOU, DOM, FOR ALWAYS REMEMBERING OZZY.  WE LOVE YOU,” was another classic.

“I grew up listening to him still, so glad you keep him alive through your music,” said another grateful commenter.

The IDOLS tour continues across the ditch, but it’s safe to say Sydney won’t be forgetting this tribute anytime soon.
