The Prince of Darkness is getting the ‘rock god’ treatment he deserves at this year’s Hellfest, with a massive six-metre-tall statue set to be unveiled at the festival in June.
Sharon Osbourne spilled the beans during an interview with Live Nation’s Andy Copping at the MIDEM 2026 conference in Cannes. When a preview of the enormous bronze monument flashed up on the screen, Sharon didn’t hold back her excitement.
“Oh, look at him, a rock god,” she said. “The whole family will be there to see it… It’s such a great tribute.”
The statue will tower nearly 20 feet high near the festival entrance, serving as a permanent nod to the heavy metal godfather.
It follows in the footsteps of the colossal Lemmy Kilmister statue that debuted at the same festival four years ago.
It’s currently unclear who the sculptor was for this beautiful piece, but Lemmy’s statue was done by French artist Caroline Brisset.

Sharon also took the chance to thank Hellfest director Ben Barbaud for the "amazing piece of art".
The festival runs from June 18th to 21st, with a stacked lineup - Iron Maiden, Deep Purple, Volbeat, Alice Cooper, Megadeth, Anthrax, The Pretty Reckless, Mastodon, Limp Bizkit, and Sabaton (to name a few).
Since his passing, the tributes for Ozzy have been constant, with everyone from Metallica and Aerosmith to Drake and Coldplay paying their respects.
Between this news and the fact that Sharon has confirmed Ozzfest is returning in 2027, we can be sure that his legacy isn’t slowing down anytime soon.
