Jessie J has revealed she needs to undergo another operation following her recent surgery for breast cancer.
The 'Price Tag' hitmaker announced in June that she had undergone surgery to treat early-stage breast cancer, and she returned to the hospital over the weekend to be treated for an infection and a "little fluid" on her lungs.
In an update on Friday, the British singer revealed that she needed to undergo another procedure, and she wouldn't let that stop her from releasing new music and parenting her two-year-old son Sky.
"I can rest, parent AND release new music," she wrote in an Instagram post. "I didn't leave a major label after 18 years to be scared to re write the rules to fit around my life / health and just make it realistic on what I can deliever (sic)."
The 37-year-old then shared a tick list of goals, writing: "Another surgery needed this year. I can do it. Raising a toddler. I can do it. Releasing new music. I can do it."
She continued: "It will look different to what I had planned but that's life, things change and either we panic and get mad that it isn't what is was going to be, or we ADAPT."
"I am 7 weeks post breast cancer surgery. I’m still in the thick of recovery and my body is still finding its way. But I LOVE music and I LOVE my life and I want to LIVE in the moment. "
Jessie concluded her post by telling her fans that she wanted them to have her new music instead of putting her career on pause and waiting for the perfect time.
In a follow-up post, the Domino hitmaker declared that she can be "a creative artist, present mother and healing patient, all at the same time", alongside a magic wand emoji.
The star did not divulge what type of operation she will be having or when it will take place.
