An incredible semi-final on 'The Voice AU' last night saw NZ's very own Cassie Henderson from Team Melanie C absolutely outdo herself and secure a spot in the grand final.

Performing like the absolute powerhouse she is, Cassie took on fellow Kiwi Lorde’s 'Green Light'.

And can we PLEASE talk about the production value, the vocals, the confidence... she’s already a literal star.

Her coach Melanie C couldn’t have been prouder, calling her a “superstar” and saying, “I’ve just loved watching you grow and really own who you are as an artist.”

Cassie’s fans agree, with rova’s very own Sharyn Casey, writing: “Give her the crown already 🔥.”

“Wow. Cassie put everything into that performance. She rocked and owned that stage like a professional recording artist, just killing it on tour,” another side.

They added: “How far she's come since that time when she gave up on her dream and now. She is sorted. She's ready to hit the road, going from city to city and amaze everyone with her talent.

A third commented: “You were utterly incredible. That was next-level amazing.”

After the nail-biting showdown, Cassie opened up to 7News about the emotional night.

“I was really feeling the pressure,” she said. “But I looked out into the crowd and saw my family there for the first time - it was so amazing.”

The performance was especially powerful knowing Cassie’s journey hasn’t been easy.

At just 14, she competed on 'The X Factor NZ' back in 2013 before stepping away from music after dealing with online trolling.

“I’ve gone through a lot of challenges in my life, and I’m really proud of the person I’ve become,” Cassie shared.

It’s been a very long journey.

We’ve got to wait another fortnight to see Cassie hit the stage again for the grand finale, but we already know she’s gonna bring the house down.

The show's not airing in NZ yet (tragic, we know), but we’ll be glued to socials keeping tabs on the Kiwi star.

All that's left is for her to take the crown for the 2025 season.
