WATCH: Cassie Henderson’s ‘perfect battle’ causes rule change on 'The Voice AU'

"This is how it’s done."

Our Kiwi gal Cassie Henderson is absolutely smashing it on 'The Voice AU' - and her latest battle round performance proves it.

After an incredibly successful audition singing Chappell Roan’s 'Good Luck, Babe!’, Cassie put her all into solidifying and keeping her spot on Spice Girl, Melanie C’s team.

Going up against her teammate Gemma Hollingsworth, the pair did a duet of Lola Young’s ‘Messy’ and the judges called it the “perfect battle”.

“Dancing, Crying, Screaming. Gemma and Cassie made us feel all of the things. 🥹🥹,” The Voice AU posted on Instagram.

The girls really complemented each other and neither tried to outshine the other. Each of their voices was able to shine individually.

The comments agreed, with one writing, “Gave me goosebumps, that was beautiful, amazing and one of the best battles I’ve ever seen 👏👏👏. Your voices are so beautiful, so smooth and out of this world, I can listen to you both sing all day long.”

There was plenty of support behind our girl too!

One person said, “Absolutely brilliant, Cassie! 😍”

“Yesssss Cassie 🔥🔥🔥 this is how it’s done 🫶,” More FM’s Sarah Gandy wrote.

A third added: “Absolutely unreal 🔥 talent from the Gods 🙌🏼🥰.”

Cassie’s battle was so good, Mel C chose her as the winner – but it didn’t end there.

In a rare twist, all four judges broke the rules by hitting their save buttons to keep Gemma in too, meaning Mel’s team now has an extra member heading into the knockout rounds.

Despite the added competition, Cassie and Gemma seem to be stoked for each other. Cassie shared a snippet of them having a laugh with their makeshift banana microphones during rehearsals.

We’re rooting for our Kiwi gal to make it even further in the competition!
