It’s been revealed that Ozzy Osbourne will be honoured with a special tribute performance at this Sunday’s Grammy Awards, and the lineup is properly stacked with rock royalty.

Taking the stage will be Slash, Duff McKagan, Chad Smith, Andrew Watt, and Post Malone

Details on what they’ll actually perform are still under wraps, but let’s be honest, with that lot involved, it’s not going to be a polite acoustic number.

All of the lads have a genuine connection to Osbourne. Andrew Watt produced Ozzy’s last two studio albums, ‘Ordinary Man’ and ‘Patient Number 9’. On these albums, both McKagan and Smith were used as backing rhythms.

Slash’s history with Ozzy goes way back, too. He played during the ‘No Rest For The Wicked’ sessions and also appeared on ‘Ordinary Man’.

Post Malone, the most surprising guest, collaborated with Ozzy on ‘Take What You Want’ and ‘It’s A Raid’ from Ozzy’s ‘Ordinary Man’ album. Ozzy knows how to pick 'em.

Reportedly, the tribute will be part of a broader ‘in memoriam’ segment planned for Sunday’s ceremony.

Get the tissues ready, team.

During Ozzy’s whirlwind career, he won five out of 12 Grammy nominations in his career - not bad going at all.

Fans have been sounding off online, mostly loving the lineup, although a few are loudly asking one question: where’s Yungblud?

The 28-year-old will be in attendance after being nominated for three awards, and given his relationship with Ozzy, some reckon he’s a notable omission.

Either way, it’s shaping up to be one hell of a salute to a bloke who’s earned every bit of it.
