rova

We’ve had some of our best years in podcasts this year. From Call Her Daddy to House of Wellness, the range of laughs and life-changing stories has been what we at rova like to claim as EPIC!

If you’ve listened through all your go-to pods and are craving something new for your favourites list, then check out some of our rova team’s recommendations to dive into over summer.

'Not For Radio' with Jay & Dunc

Of course, we're gonna kick off the suggestion with one of our faves and also one of our OWN! The stories and yarns from Jay and Dunc (and you!) this year has been nothing short of unreal, unfiltered and downright HILARIOUS! It's all their uncensored glory, and it's Not for Radio!

The Basement Yard

Need a mood-raiser? One of our top picks from the year is Basement Yard, and it’s sure to give you a cackle. They mainly just piss each other off and debate about the most ridiculous things. The perfect way to unwind while lying on the beach, in our opinion.

Breeze's House of Wellness

The summer hustle and bustle makes a few of us crazy. From prepping the food for Christmas lunch, or deep cleaning the house for all the crazy relatives coming over… There needs to be something to wind us down and relax us, right? Well, we’ve got you covered with Breeze’s House of Wellness - A weekly show to help you get well, stay well and live well every day.

'Happy Hour' with Nikki and Lucy

For the gals, what better chat to crank up than the Happy Hour poddy by Aussie legends Nikki and Lucy, the same icons that co-created fashion brand Jagger and Stone. They discuss starting a business, relationships, wild party stories and all the s**t that's on every 20-something's mind.

ShxtsNGigs

And boys, we didn't forget you! We’ve got you sorted with the UK lads ShxtsNGigs. Best friends James and Fuhad will bring the giggles all summer long. They try to give their full, unfiltered opinion on anything that comes to mind. It can be raw, it might be offensive, but it's always hilarious!

We Mean Well

We know summer can sometimes get annoying, spending time with the same people for days on end, right? (No? Just my family?) If you are like us and would rather listen to other people bicker back and forth, defo check out We Mean Well. Featuring two old, washed-up TikTokers, Jarch and Lu, they’re best mates who just try to make sense of the world.

'A Little Bit Extra' with Sharyn Casey

Now, if you're in the mood to keep up with pop culture and have one of the best in the game deliver that news to you, well, you're in luck, my friends, cause we have both. A Little Bit Extra is a podcast that’s part entertainment, part update, part hot gossip recap, and 100% extra. Your summer break is locked and loaded!

Salty Housewife

For everyone who can’t get enough of their reality TV, one of our best recap podcasts on rova is Salty Housewife! A witty and insightful podcast hosted by Utah-based mum Rosanna, she watches ALL THINGS reality TV. From ‘The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City’, ‘Vanderpump Rules’, to ‘Secret Life of Mormon Wives', she separates fact from fiction, shares her own candid opinions, and offers a unique perspective on what the people of Utah might be thinking.

New Mindset, Who This?

As we come into 2026, a lot of us start thinking about our goals and different ways we can achieve them - that’s where Case Kenny comes in with New Mindset, Who’s This?. It’s a different kind of podcast where Case offers practical thoughts on self-improvement, mindfulness and how to live your best life. No gurus, no fluff and no preaching of generic life advice. Just a dude living in his best way, sharing some perspective.

'It's A Lot' with Abbie Chatfield

She’s been a massive voice for women this year, and she really knows how to draw a crowd in. Aussie reality TV queen, entrepreneur and chronic over-sharer, Abbie Chatfield hosts It’s A Lot, where each week she tackles the deep stuff - from abandonment issues and mental health to important social discourse around feminism and politics. Plus, there’s a reliable dose of sex tips, bad dating stories, and interviews with funny, clever, and wickedly cool people.

The Squeeze

And to wrap up our summer picks, we’ve got a bit of a double hitter, and by that, we mean the names. When life gives you lemons, what do you do with them? (No, they’re not just for Coronas this summer.) Over at The Squeeze, they talk about it, "it" being mental health and well-being. Host Taylor Lautner (no, not that guy, but she is married to that guy) learned about the struggles of mental health at a young age, witnessing friends and family suffer in ways she couldn't fully understand. Tay is joined by co-host, husband Taylor Lautner, and other celebrity and expert guests, to further the conversation surrounding mental wellness. We hope that, above all, this podcast offers the comfort of knowing you are not alone.

So, chuck on those headphones, charge the Bluetooth speaker and get ready for some epic podcasting!
