Harry Styles has delivered what many fans are calling one of the best performances of his career.

The 'Aperture' singer took to the stage at London's Meltdown Festival, which he curated this year at the Southbank Centre, and he wrapped up his own set of the night with a stunning orchestral cover of Simon & Garfunkel's 1970 hit, 'Bridge Over Troubled Water'.

Backed by a full orchestra, Harry's vocals gave us goosebumps just watching through a screen, so it's no wonder he earned a standing ovation from the crowd at the venue.

Videos from the performance have been doing the rounds, with fans obsessed with his effortlessly powerful notes.

At one point, he even seems to surprise himself - just look at that little grin and clap after nailing one of the biggest moments in the track.

According to Rolling Stone UK, Harry revealed that the track even inspired his 'Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally' track 'Carla's Song'.

He said watching a friend hear the song for the first time was like watching someone witness a magic trick.

"Music is magic, and I feel so lucky to get to be a part of it in just a small way," he said.

I think hearing songs like that is a reminder of this thing that is so much bigger than any one artist that you like.

"These things are around for so much longer than any of us," he added.

Fans have flooded the comments under the videos with praise, with some even calling it one of Harry’s best vocal performances.

"Phenomenal voice, never heard it done as well as this before," one person wrote.

"Such a stellar vocal delivery and amazing arrangement. Truly beautiful. I dare say that I think it is one of the most beautiful performances by Harry Styles," added another.

A third said: "Unforgettable… His voice just gets better."

Now, when are we getting a full orchestral Harry Styles album? Because I think we need it at this point.
