Mai Matariki Community Day

You pulled up in 2024 for our first-ever Mai Matariki Community Day and this year we’re running it back, but this time…it’s even BIGGER!!

Thanks to our good friends at Auckland Zoo, we’re celebrating Mai Matariki Community Day Friday, June 27th at EcoMatters Environment Trust, New Lynn, Auckland!

But don’t worry if you’ve got mahi or school because this year, the Mai Morning Crew will be onsite doing the show and planting from 6am, with Storme from Mai Days holding it down until 2pm.

There’ll be heaps going down on the day to get the whole whānau involved too! From Auckland Zoo giveaways to planting and mulching, harakeke/flax weaving and of course, free kai for everyone!

And this is where WE NEED YOUR HELP!

We are on the hunt for a local food & beverage business doing some good in your community that deserves a pūtea/money injection!

If one comes to mind…nominate them below and we could be buying them out and getting them down to our Mai Matariki Community Day for free brekkie or lunch!

Matariki is a time to remember those we have lost, to celebrate our present together, and to plan for the year to come. What better time to reconnect with whānau, wildlife and nature and create lasting memories together.
