The Southern Cancer Society is proud to announce the launch of Daffodil Day 2025. This pivotal campaign raises awareness and support for cancer research, support, and patient care across New Zealand.

This year’s campaign, “The 1 in 3 Could Be Me” highlights the staggering statistic that 1 in 3 New Zealanders will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime and emphasises the urgent need for collective action.

Dunedin's Breeze is joining in this year to raise funds for our local community and you can support Daffodil Day by organising your own fundraiser or volunteering to support one of New Zealand’s most iconic fundraising appeals.

It wouldn’t be a Daffodil Day without ANZ who have been a proud sponsor of Daffodil Day since 1990, raising over $25 million for the Cancer Society. Their dedicated staff roll up their sleeves alongside the community, hosting fundraisers and events to support those facing cancer.

This year ANZ are giving an extra incentive to fundraise by giving away three sports equipment grants worth $5,000 each for schools and 10 prize packs of 10 tickets to a NZ Cricket International home match in 2025 for workplaces. Make sure you register online and raise $500 to go in the draw!

By participating in Daffodil Day 2025, you are making a practical difference in the lives of those affected by cancer. Regardless of size, every donation helps us provide vital services and fund research to save lives.
