New Zealand's premier New Year's festival, announces the return of the highly anticipated WAIOHIKA WARMUP 2025 - the official pre-party for Rhythm and Vines.

Exclusive to R&V onsite campers, the official warmup event will feature two stages in full flight - the RHYTHM STAGE and CELLAR STAGE - offering a diverse range of electronic music and more to get the party officially started for 18,000 campers who turn up on December 28.

Plus More to Come

In huge news, ELLA MONNERY will headline the opening night on the CELLAR STAGE. From feature vocalist collaborations with SACHI, Synthony, through to National Anthem performances for the All Blacks and Coca Cola Christmas in the Park, Ella can no longer be ignored as one of the hottest talents coming through the NZ music pipeline. Come December 28, Ella will be debuting her live solo show and deservedly kicking off celebrations for the first night of Rhythm in the forest of the Cellar.

Earlier this year, Rhythm and Vines partnered with George FM to present the Waiohika Wildcard competition, giving emerging DJ talent the chance to secure a coveted 45-minute performance slot at the event, performance fee, tickets and more. This was taken out by HOSSY who will be given the keys to the Rhythm Stage production on December 28. Previous Wildcard winner MYLEN will be headlining the Rhythm Stage, along with super producers INMOTION.

The Waiohika Warmup marks the beginning of Rhythm and Vines' four-night camping experience, leading into the main festival from December 29-31. The event continues to uphold its reputation as a rite of passage for young New Zealanders and maintains its status as the first festival in the world to welcome the new year's sunrise.

The Waiohika Warmup stages have become a breeding ground for top New Zealand talent, with established artists and previous headliners like Lee Mvtthews and Messie having all plied their trade there before going on to big things.

Full lineup details for the Rhythm and Vines festival can be expected in August. Treble Camp, the largest most popular campground sold out in June, with final spaces selling fast in the remaining campsites.
