The whole community is invited to enjoy the relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, with live music, food trucks, giveaways, and guided tours bringing the campus to life for visitors of all ages. With over 100 qualifications from certificates to master's degrees, NMIT has something for everyone. The 2025 Open Day is the perfect way to explore your options in a relaxed, welcoming environment, whether you're just starting out or looking to upskill.
NMIT are bringing programme areas from across their three Te Tauihu campuses to Nelson, so you can meet tutors, students, and industry partners - and get a real taste of student life with complimentary 15-30 minute interactive classes. There will also be a whole host of fun activities to try on the day like video game design, making desserts in the training kitchen, beauty treatments and abseiling to name just a few as well as a bouncy castle, fire truck and helicopter to entertain the kids. To top it all off - there will be live music, student led entertainment, food trucks and pop-up stalls!
