The Voice contestant Dakota Cohen has absolutely nailed a cover of Fuel's 2000s rock anthem 'Hemorrhage (In My Hands)', earning herself a spot in the competition's next round.

And fair play, she's got some serious pipes on her.

Performing as part of Adam Levine's team, Cohen started things off relatively mellow before letting rip when the song kicked into gear. It's one of those tracks that needs a big voice to do it justice, and she certainly wasn't mucking around.

The performance had the crowd on their feet, while fellow coach Queen Latifah was clearly loving every second.

"Dakota, it was so much fun to see you sing that song. I love that song. I was trying to stay in my seat, like, 'C'mon, let's go.' Thank you for sharing that with us."

Levine was equally impressed, comparing Cohen to a young Miley Cyrus before praising her commitment to rock music.

"There's nobody on my team like Dakota. She's carrying the rock torch for me and has such a cool, interesting voice."

Cohen's performance came during the show's brutal new 'Cut Week', where each coach had to whittle their team down from seven singers to just three. Levine admitted his final decision was "a coin flip for various reasons", but ultimately sent Cohen through.

Earlier in the season, the 25 year old nailed a cover of Black Sabbath’s Changes. Great to see some epic rock covers on TV.
