Just when you thought the viral Sonny Angel trend was fading out, Casetify has gone and revived it - while also making my inner child scream with nostalgia.
I managed to get my hands on one of their latest drops featuring every 90s and 2000s kid’s fave TV show, the 'Teletubbies'.
We’re talking phone cases covered in Tinky Winky, Dipsy, Laa-Laa and Po, AND blind box mini figurines of each character that perch right on top of your case.
Some might call it overkill... I call it obsession!!
If you’ve missed the hype, Sonny Angels are those tiny collectible dolls that have completely blown up on TikTok this year.
They usually sell for around $30-50 NZD each and are sold in blind boxes, meaning you don’t know which one you’re getting until you open it.
The surprise is half the fun, and with the Labubu craze adding to the chaos, people can’t get enough - though they’re seriously hard to track down.
The 'Teletubbies' danglers are on the pricier side at $59 NZD, but the chance of pulling each character is 25%. That makes your odds of collecting the whole set much higher than the shocking 8% chance with the Sonny Angels.
They’re also limited edition, so you’ll want to get on it if you want all four before they’re gone.
When I finally got my blind box moment and pulled a mini Po, I was buzzing. It’s technically meant to sit on your phone, but honestly, mine didn’t survive my clumsy drops, so Po now lives on my laptop instead.
I went through my sticker decorating phase in high school, and I can already see these little danglers taking over every inch of my screen border before I know it.
While these Casetify danglers aren’t exactly cheaper than Sonny Angels, they’re rarer and you know yours is authentic - don’t even get me started on the 'Lafufu' and Sonny dupes floating around right now…
