Taylor Swift just announced her engagement with Travis Kelce, WHY DO I FEEL LIKE A PROUD MUM?!
Taylor took to Instagram with a co-lab post alongside her now-fiancé, dropping a carousel of dreamy, whimsical photos showing off her new (and may I say gorgeous) diamond ring.
The series shows the couple looking just absolutely in awe of each other. Hugs, smiles, flowers. Taylor’s glowing, Travis looks smitten, you honestly can't look at these photos and not feel your heart explode just a little bit.
The post featured audio from the singer's track So High School, which is about her romance with Travis, and the caption read: “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.” My gosh, it only felt like yesterday they announced their hard launch.
What makes this timing even more iconic is that Taylor also has her brand new album on the way. The Life of a Showgirl drops October 3, and she teased it recently on Travis and Jason Kelce’s New Heights podcast. So, yes, she’s announcing an engagement and an album within weeks of each other. Absolute POWER MOVE.
We already know the record is 12 tracks, co-produced with Max Martin and Shellback, and apparently, only five people in her inner circle have heard the whole thing. The visuals she’s teased so far have been full glitz, sequins, and showbiz drama, and now it’s tied up with her very real-life love story.
Rumours that Taylor and Travis, both 35, were dating first emerged in July 2023, when the sports star revealed on his New Heights podcast that he had tried to give the Lavender Haze singer a friendship bracelet during one of her Eras Tour shows.
Speculation intensified in September that year when Taylor was spotted cheering from Travis' private suite at a Chiefs game alongside his mother, Donna Kelce. In her Time Person of the Year cover story published in December 2023, Taylor confirmed that they were already a couple by then.
