Taylor Momsen has been hospitalised after being bitten by a poisonous spider while on tour.

The Pretty Reckless frontwoman and Gossip Girl star has revealed she required medical treatment while travelling with AC/DC on their ongoing Power Up tour.

In a post shared on Instagram, Taylor wrote, "Hospital today, show tomorrow. Poisonous spiders are NO BUENO but the show must go on, see you tomorrow Mexico City!"

In the comments section, a social media user noted that the incident came nearly two years after Momsen was bitten by a bat during a live performance.

The 32-year-old singer-songwriter replied, "I know. WTF."

Taylor also shared an image of her leg, showing the bite and a large red rash extending up her calf.

Hours later, she returned to Instagram to confirm she had spent the night in hospital, writing, "Or I just spend the night in the hospital...thank you to the amazing doctors who, well, they know."

The post included a photo of the musician lying in a hospital bed wearing a face mask and holding an ice pack to her forehead, as well as a video of her being wheeled through the hospital, with the affected area on her leg outlined in blue pen.

Taylor had previously told fans she was bitten by a "massive spider" nearly a week earlier, saying it had taken "a chunk out of" her leg. She added that the venom "did a number" on her system.

"It wouldn't be an AC/DC tour if I didn't get bit," she joked in previous post. "Add it to the list! Spider woman? Batgirl?"

In 2024, Taylor was bitten by a bat during a performance in Sevilla, Spain while on tour with AC/DC.
