Taylor Momsen bit by venomous spider while on tour with AC/DC

Taylor Momsen has been bitten by a wild animal while opening for AC/DC… for the second time.

The Pretty Reckless were set to play in Mexico City on Tuesday night when Momsen copped a bite from what she called a “massive” spider. It hit her hard enough that she needed medical treatment right before the show.

She posted the whole ordeal online with the very on-brand line, “It wouldn't be an AC/DC tour if I didn't get bit.” Fair call really.

She added, “It's venom did a number on my system so had to have the wonderful doctors in Mexico come and deliver quite the shot before the show last night... add it to the list!”

And to be fair, there is a list. Because if you cast your mind back to June 2024, Momsen was bitten by a bat mid-song in Seville. 

She was performing Witches Burn when she calmly announced, “Holy fuck! There's a fucking flying bat on my leg right now.” The crowd lost it, the crew peeled the little guy off, and she later spent two weeks getting rabies shots. Rock and roll.

This time around, even a venomous spider couldn’t stop her. According to setlist.fm, The Pretty Reckless still smashed out a 10-song set at Estadio GNP Seguros.

After Mexico, they’ll jump onto AC/DC’s North American run from July through September before dropping their new album Dear God on June 26. 

Ideally without any more wildlife trying to claim a piece of her.
