Shania Twain has admitted she missed Taylor Swift's wedding because of the star's ex-boyfriend Harry Styles.
The 60-year-old singer confirmed she did receive an invite to attend Swift's lavish wedding to Travis Kelce at Madison Square Garden in New York City earlier this month, but turned it down because she had previously made a commitment to Styles.
Twain was the special opening act for Styles' 12-night residency at Wembley Stadium in London, performing live between 12 June and 4 July, and she didn't want to let him down.
"Taylor Swift invited me to her wedding," Twain revealed during an interview with CTV's etalk. "And I couldn't go because I was already committed to Harry's shows."
"It's kind of funny that happened that way," the That Don't Impress Me Much singer continued, referring to Swift's brief romance with Styles.
Twain went on to insist she was disappointed not to attend Swift and Kelce's star-studded nuptials on 3 July.
"I was already committed," she reflected. "I would have done anything to be at Taylor's wedding."
"It would have been really lovely for me to be there, but I was with Harry," she added.
Swift and Styles dated for a few months between late 2012 and early 2013.
The high-profile relationship had such a lasting impact on Swift that the 36-year-old musician went on to write several songs about the former One Direction star, including I Knew You Were Trouble, Out of the Woods and Style.
Two Ghosts, which appeared on Styles' debut solo album, is widely believed to be about his failed romance with Swift.
Styles, 32, is now engaged to Hollywood actress and director Zoe Kravitz.
