A bloke has gone viral for switching up not only the genre, but the time period of an iconic Papa Roach track.
The guy, who goes by @piatrulia on Instagram, took it right back to the 15th century by playing ‘Last Resort’ on the bagpipes, lute, mandolin, and hurdy gurdy.
“In the cold summer of 1425, maidens asked me to play this,” he wrote in the caption.
And in an absolute blinder none of us could’ve predicted - it sounds bloody brilliant.
His followers agree too, with one person commenting: “This goes way harder than it has any right to.”
Another said: “I’m not even a huge fan of the original song, but this is absolutely fire 🔥🔥”
A third added: “I felt this in my soul.”
Someone even came up with their own medieval lyrics to match the vibe: “Plough my field into creases, this is my ox and cart, irrigation, start seeding, crops that will thrive in the mid summer season.”
Some reckon it’s even better than the original - which is a HUGE call.
He’s also given Tool’s ‘Forty Six & 2’ a crack.
“It came out kind of medieval and with a 'Witcher' vibe,” he said. “Hopefully TOOL fans don’t know where I live 😄.”
There’s some serious talent doing the rounds when it comes to rock covers, and that Tool track seems to be a hot favourite.
Just last week, another fella went viral for shredding ‘Forty Six & 2’ while squatting over 100kg.
It’s a talent that’s as impressive as it is terrifying - the multitasking is next level.
Honestly, gone are the days of just whipping out a guitar and belting a tune. These covers are getting bloody creative.
