I’m not sure whether to be totally impressed or slightly terrified by one bloke’s skills in the gym and playing a guitar.
Alexander Mercieca has made a name for himself on Instagram by flexing pure strength - but if that’s not enough to keep you watching, he takes things a step further by shredding on the guitar while working out.
In one of his latest vids, he attempts the Tool track ‘46&2’.
“I’ve never really listened to the song, so I had to listen and try to learn it this morning,” he wrote in the caption.
Despite the quick turnaround, the man put in one helluva shift and absolutely nailed it.
With 111kg balanced on his back, Alexander bangs out a solid seven squats while riffing like Tool is second nature.
And the comments are giving him his props for it.
“My knees gave out watching this. Christ, this is impressive 😂,” one person wrote.
Another said: “This is the most badass thing I’ve ever seen. Cheers!”
“This is so unnecessary, and I love every minute of it,” added a third.
What compels him to do this? Look, I'm not gonna pretend to know, but it does feel like the kind of idea you'd come up with after a few at the local.
And it's pretty brilliant.
A few commenters chucked out some gags too, and it's comedy gold.
One commenter took the opportunity to write: “46 sets of 2.”
Someone else joked: “Tool ❌ Machine ✅.”
“How it feels to chew 5 Gum,” a third said.
There’s plenty more where that came from, too. You should see him tear up a bit of Metallica!
Right, I'm off to watch Alex for the next few hours. Cheers!
