MediaWorks wins big at 2025 NZ Radio and Podcast Awards

All incredibly well deserved.

The 2025 New Zealand Radio and Podcast Awards were held last night at Sky City Theatre, celebrating the creative and talented work that goes into making the industry thrive.

Plenty of MediaWorks staff were nominated with some taking home some major wins.

With nearly 600 entries across the board, the awards acknowledged the talent and hard work that go into every part of the industry - from on-air hosting and podcasting to production, promotions, journalism, sales and more.

RBA and Awards Chair Jana Rangooni gave massive praise to the quality of this year’s entries, saying it’s a real sign of how strong the industry is – with over 3.7 million Kiwis aged 10+ tuning into radio each week and podcast listening still on the rise.

It was a big night for the MediaWorks whānau at the 2025 New Zealand Radio and Podcast Awards, with a bunch of familiar names and shows getting well-deserved nods across the board.

So, while the night is over, let’s continue to celebrate with them after another year of incredible work put into what you hear, see - or don’t - from all of the people who put the very best into everything they do.
