Linkin Park has made history, becoming the first band with a female frontwoman to headline Download Festival in England when they closed out the iconic event on Saturday night.
Download's been around since 2003, has hosted some of the biggest names in rock and metal, and somehow nobody with a woman at the front had ever topped the bill until now.
The band were headlining Download for the fifth time since 2003, but with Emily Armstrong stepping into the band following their return in 2023, Linkin Park's latest chapter just added a pretty massive milestone to the history books.
Their set was part of the ongoing From Zero World Tour and featured a whopping 23 songs across four acts, mixing newer tracks like 'The Emptiness Machine', 'Up From The Bottom' and 'Heavy Is The Crown' with absolute heavy-hitters including 'Crawling', 'Numb', 'Papercut', 'In The End' and 'Faint'.
Not a bad way to celebrate making history.
The band now roll on through Europe, with shows in France and Spain next up.
Plus, they’ve just announced a new film called 'Unshatter', a cinematic look at the band's journey through loss, rebuilding, and finding their way back to the stage after losing Chester.
It’s dropping in theatres worldwide ‘soon’ - you can watch the tease trailer below.
