Jake Paul’s boxing run has hit a brutal pause button.

The YouTuber turned fighter has been handed an indefinite medical suspension following his knockout loss to Anthony Joshua, after suffering a broken jaw in their December fight in Miami.

According to MMA Fighting, The Florida Athletic Commission confirmed the suspensions this week, with Paul topping the list. Because of the injury, he can’t compete again until his jaw fully heals and a physician gives him the all-clear.

The fight marked Paul’s first knockout loss and his second defeat overall. Joshua defeated Paul in six rounds, knocking him down four times during the bout. After the fight, Paul revealed that he required multiple plates to repair his jaw.

Post-fight, wild rumours began circulating online claiming the bout was scripted.

Jake Paul’s team was quick to shut down the claims, saying their lawyers are actively pursuing several individuals for spreading false information.

“Our lawyers are actively going after a number of people. One who claims to be a lawyer himself online,” Bidarian said.

“I don't remember the name or the handle, but it was something that had like 200,000 likes. And basically, this post said there was an agreement for AJ not to knock out Jake, but AJ disregarded the agreement and decided to not get his payday, but knock out Jake Paul.”

Bidarian made it clear that the rumours are completely false.

“There has never once in Jake Paul's career been any talk of that sort of anything to do with the fight being anything but a real fight that has exactly the same situation as any professional fight.”

Full suspensions from the fight night include Jake Paul with an indefinite suspension, Tyron Woodley, Camilla Panatta and Yokasta Valle with 30 days, Justin Cardona with 60 days, and Diarra Davis Jr. also indefinitely suspended.
