Foo Fighters are back in business. The band have announced their 12th studio album, Your Favorite Toy, is set for release on April 24, and they’ve just dropped the title track to kick things off.

Even better for us down here, they confirmed on Wednesday they’re heading back to New Zealand in January 2027. Not a bad week’s work.

The new record follows 2023’s But Here We Are and features 10 tracks, including previously released single “Asking for a Friend,” which will close the album.

“‘Your Favorite Toy’ really was the key that unlocked the tone and energetic direction of the new album,” Grohl said.

“We stumbled upon it after experimenting with different sounds and dynamics for over a year, and the day it took shape I knew that we had to follow its lead. It was the fuse to the powder keg of songs we wound up recording for this record. It feels new.”

The three-minute track features Grohl’s voice through layers of vocal effects and is co-produced by the band and Oliver Roman, engineered by Roman and mixed by Mark “Spike” Stent.
