A dad is winning the internet after a video of him guiding his seven year old daughter through a metal circle pit has blown up online.
The moment went down at a Pantera gig in the States, with Swedish melodic death metal band Amon Amarth also on the bill.
In the clip, the dad has one arm wrapped around his young daughter as they walk around the pit together, while Amon Amarth plays onstage.
The blokes in the mosh are doing the usual circle pit charge, pushing and bumping into each other, but every single one of them is careful not to knock into the kid. The dad gets the occasional push, but everyone looks to be mindful of the young girl beside him, and just mindful of everyone in general.
Meanwhile, the little girl’s got a grin so big it could headline its own gig.
The girl’s mum shared the video online, writing: “The pure joy on her face as dad protects her… makin mama proud ✨ we’ve been taking Salem to shows since she was 18 months old, she’s been to so many cool shows, but she got to see Amon Amarth and Pantera tonight which was a bucket list for her.”
The video has racked up more than 650,000 views so far, with commenters praising the dad and the crowd for keeping things safe and wholesome.
“I love how the others are being mindful of her as well,” one person wrote. “I always tell people that metalheads are some of the nicest people to be around. Sure you have your bad apples, but most of us just want to have a good time and see each other have a good time.”
“She was fully protected by dad. But the others were definitely watching out for her,” said another.
Someone else added, “The way each person is making sure she’s okay while rocking out is sick.”

Even Amon Amarth themselves jumped into the comments with a row of flexing emojis.
Moments like this prove what metal fans already know. Behind the noise and the pits is a community that lives on respect, connection and looking out for each other.
This reminds us of another epic metal dad, who went viral after a video captured him crowd surfing with his young daughter at a rock and metal festival.
The metal scene really is one of the nicest.
