After years of manifesting, fan theories, and rewatch marathons, it’s officially happening - ‘Camp Rock 3’ is in production, and yes, filming has already started in Vancouver!!
Let’s start with the obvious: the Jonas Brothers (aka Connect 3, aka the reason our 2008 selves wore skinny ties unironically) are RETURNING. Kevin, Joe, and Nick Jonas are back on set, stepping into their Gray brother roles like no time has passed at all.
Fans on TikTok caught them in action before Disney even said a word about it being greenlit. Word spread so fast that a lot of us thought it HAD to be fake, but of course, the Disney fandom is onto it.
This morning, the JoBros confirmed the news themselves on Insta, re-enacting the ICONIC limo scene from the OG film. Yeah, it was game over. Internet broken. Childhood revived. ‘Camp Rock’ stans shooketh.
What is the plot of ‘Camp Rock 3’?
According to Deadline, Connect 3 loses their opening act for a massive reunion tour and ends up back at Camp Rock to discover the next generation of stars. (ahhhhh, cue the gooseys!)
Unfortunately, this is not going to be that R-rated Camp Rock Joe and Demi once joked about back in the day. Sorry, grown-up stans, but this one is pure Disney magic, full of sing-alongs, camp vibes, and all-age feels.
Who is in 'Camp Rock 3'?
Kevin, Joe, Nick (Shane, Nate, Jason Gray) are already confirmed, obvs. Another familiar face confirmed is Maria Canals-Barrera who will reprise her role as mumma Connie Torres.
Alongside the OGs, some fresh new faces are entering the scene, including: Liamani Segura, Malachi Barton, Lumi Pollack, Hudson Stone, Casey Trotter, Brooklynn Pitts, Ava Jean, and Sherry Cola (who looks ready to bring a whole new energy).
And as for Alyson Stoner? The door isn’t closed, but they’ve said they haven’t gotten “the call” yet. (Disney, if you’re listening: do the right thing. We need Caitlyn back at that keyboard!)
Is Demi Lovato in ‘Camp Rock 3’?
Before you ask, yes, Demi Lovato will be involved… but not in the way we’d all hoped. She has been confirmed as an executive producer for the third instalment.
While it’s still TBC if our queen, Mitchie Torres herself, will belt her way back onto the scene, her fingerprints are all over this project.
She even shared the news on her Instagram Stories this morning, writing: "Another one, but make it camp!! Good luck to this next class of campers."
When is ‘Camp Rock 3’ coming out?
Patience, fam. Filming JUST started, so we probably won’t be streaming this on Disney until late 2026 or dare I say, 2027… (sigh).
Once we get official dates, we’ll be sure to keep you updated.
Until then, you better believe we’ll be rewatching both ‘Camp Rock’ movies on repeat, singing “This is meee” in the shower and planning our ‘Camp Rock 3’ watch parties.
