Bonnie Tyler is currently "seriously ill but stable" after being admitted to hospital in Portugal.
The Welsh singer underwent emergency intestinal surgery last week after falling ill while in the Algarve, and is currently recovering in a hospital in Faro.
In a new statement, Tyler's spokesperson told BBC News that the 74-year-old singer is expected to make a full recovery.
"As of this morning, Bonnie remains seriously ill but stable in hospital in Faro, however, her doctors are still positive that she will make a full recovery," he said.
"When there is any further news of Bonnie's condition, then we will issue another statement," the spokesperson added.
The Total Eclipse of the Heart hitmaker, who has a home in Faro, was taken to hospital on Wednesday 6 May, and was later placed in an induced coma following emergency surgery.
Two days later, a message posted on Tyler's official Facebook page thanked fans for the "incredible outpouring of love and well wishes" over the past few days.
It added, "It truly means the world."
Several stars have since shared public messages of support on social media, including I Will Survive hitmaker Gloria Gaynor, who wrote, "Wishing you a swift recovery, Bonnie!"
Meanwhile, Tyler's guitarist Ed Poole shared that he and the rest of the band were "hoping and praying that she pulls through".
Tyler is best known for her 1983 chart hit Total Eclipse of the Heart. She also represented the U.K. at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2013.
