As more details of the horrific Bondi Shooting come to light, we're learning that fruit shop owner Ahmed Al Ahmed wasn't the only brave passerby to take on the terrorists.
Heartwrenching footage from a dashcam of a car driving past the attack as it began to unfold shows two people confronting one of the shooters, tussling with him to rip the gun from his hands.
A man in a purple shirt falls to the ground as sucessfully disarms the gunman, while a woman rushes in to help. Another angle shows the man brandishing the large rifle at the attacker, appearing to hit him over the head with his own weapon as he retreats.
A full 10-minute video reportedly shows the gunman returning to the bridge and firing in the direction of the pair who confronted him.
Tragically, drone footage later revealed two bodies in the same area where the courageous members of the public had been spotted.
Eyewitnesses Monika and Tim Holtsbaum said it was incredible to see the man in the purple shirt intervene even after the first shots had been fired.
"This gentleman ran over and effectively tackled this guy into the street to grab his rifle off him," Tim said.

“For him to be brave enough to run over to a man with a rifle after shots had been fired to try and take his gun from him was pretty amazing,” he continued.
“Very confronting to see the footage back, to see him having his life taken, which is just the ultimate kind of sacrifice.”
His family needs to know he was a hero.
Other witnesses took to social media to explain what they saw, confirming: "two individuals were among the first to identify the gunman and bravely attempted to disarm him."
“Tragically, they were shot and killed in the process."
Another person wrote: "We saw this man heroically try to disarm this evil terrorist… he was trying to save lives." The two people mentioned haven't yet been formally identified.
And still, there were more incredible people who ran towards danger. The daughter of Reuven Morrison told CBS News her dad stepped in and threw bricks at the terrorist before he was shot and killed.

He can be seen in a white shirt in the same viral footage of Ahmed Al Ahmed lunging at the gunman from behind, putting him in a headlock and wrestling the gun from him.
“My dear father, Reuven Morrison was shot dead for being Jewish at a Hanukkah event on Bondi Beach while protecting lives," Sheina Gutnick said.
"Jumping up, putting his own life at risk to save his fellow Jewish community members.”
Amid the terrible details of this shocking attack, it's heartening to see the strength of humanity shining through in the unfathomable bravery of so many.
