The event, which has had a five-year hiatus since its first run in 2020, is back with a bang, ready to rock Auckland’s Spark Arena this Saturday, 2nd August.
Showcasing five New Zealand bands of rock royalty, Dragon, Th’ Dudes, Goodshirt, Fur Patrol, and Stellar*, the arena will be decked out to feel just like you’re at the pub, only bigger!
It’s sure to be a night of sing-along anthems and good old-fashioned rock n roll.
So, before you head down to the pub for a night of classic Kiwi tunes, here’s everything you need to know, and if you don’t have a ticket yet, you can get yours HERE.

Meet & greet at The Sound Lounge
Keen to chat and get a pic with kiwi legends? After each band’s performance, you’ll have the opportunity to do so at The Sound’s meet and greet station!
Come and chill out with these icons at The Sound Lounge, which will be located stage left inside the bowl of the arena (to the right if you’re facing the stage).
Some or all members of each band will head to the lounge just after their sets and will be available there for 5-15 minutes.
Beergarden & The White Lady
Wouldn’t be a pub gig without pub food and pub drinks. No better way to experience the night than with a beer in one hand and a burger from The White Lady in the other.
A beer garden and bars will be located inside the bowl of the arena, as will The White Lady’s food stall.
Merch
Event merch will be available inside the bowl from 5:30 PM.
The Sound will also be giving out a few freebies. Check out The Sound Lounge or find a Sound team member to pick up some earplugs (to protect your hearing!), Sound pint cups/glasses, and beerholder lanyards.
At the event, you can also enter meat raffles and be in to win some great meat prizes, talk about getting the full pub experience!
